Happy April Fools’!
The internet is FULL of fitness myths, and today, we’re calling out some of the biggest ones. Have you fallen for any of these?
MYTH #1: "Lifting Weights Makes You Bulky"
TRUTH: Strength training actually helps you lean out! Building muscle boosts metabolism and burns fat. Unless you’re following a bodybuilder diet and training for hours a day, you won’t bulk up—just get strong and sculpted.
MYTH #2: "You Have to Do Hours of Cardio to Lose Weight"
TRUTH: More isn’t always better! Short, high-intensity workouts (like our bootcamp classes) are far more effective for fat loss than hours on the treadmill. Do cardio for heart health, not for weight loss.
MYTH #3: "Sweating More Means You’re Burning More Fat"
TRUTH: Sweat cools you down—it’s not a direct sign of fat burn. Some workouts make you sweat buckets, but the real key to results is consistency and effort.
MYTH #4: "You Should Work Out Every Day or It Doesn’t Count"
TRUTH: Rest is just as important as training. Your body needs time to recover and rebuild. Quality beats quantity!
